One being our beloved western inspired ankle boots. I believe, that I've successfully worn out at least three pairs of ankle boots in recent years. They are one of my most favourite style items and there're a few obvious reasons why.

It's a widely loved go-to pair for casual or smart dressing, depending on your day-to-day look. My personal collection of ankle boots consists mostly of low and mid high heels, which makes them perfect to pair and wear on many different occasions. Low-heeled are perfect for daily wear and even practical for city walks. When you live in a vibrant city such as Amsterdam, Paris or New York where getting into to the city is harder than getting out, you’re probably used to walking a lot. Nowadays, trainers are also an excellent choice. They've evolved through times and fit right in today's Zeitgeist.
However, sometimes you’ll want to ‘up your style’ and wear something that's a bit more striking. Then, this is where the 'ultimate' pair of boots come in.
Yes, there're many different types of boots, but personally I believe western style ankle boots are (almost) always a win. A preferable type will have a low cuban or medium high type of heel. Made of high quality supple leather, that offers great support and can be worn many times without losing its appeal. A beautiful side-effect may be that quality leather will develop character over time, simply due to wear.
Another great reason is to love them, because they are so easy to style. There are many outfits to be worn with ankle boots as they are very versatile. A leather biker jacket worn with jeans, basic T and ankle boots is a style classic. Another look could be a free flowing maxi-length dress (Chloé inspired) paired with suede ankle boots is perfect for all year round. Or a short dress with a pair of low key biker boots to make a feminine dress look cool. These are just a few basic options to look your best without ever having to compromise your style to your daily activities.

My top picks for this season are low (Cuban) or a medium heeled type of boot. An exotic snake print or monotone black, white or brown coloured boots with silver-tone details such ass toe caps and buckle straps for the right amount of cool.
