A Little Is All We Need

In a world of abundance we really need to be confident with ourselves and understand that just a little, sometimes is more then enough.

This goes for many things in life and I personally believe, that when it comes to make-up less is more.

"I love to think that we're all beautiful creatures made to be and be loved"
We all have our own look and that something special that makes us unique, but I'm not gonna lie. I love to lend nature a helping hand. I very much love mak-up, but I don't have a minute to spare in the morning. I'd much rather sleep as long as I can, wake-up, get a quick shower and leave. Except for Friday morning, then I love to glam it up and get into the weekend spirit. This marks the end of the week and it's almost time to relax, take it slow and enjoy.

To have a natural, clean look you need to start at the base with a clean face. To clean and protect your skin I would recommend using an organic cleanser on a daily base. Exfoliate once a week with a very mild facial scrub and apply a hydrating face cream with (at least ) SPF 30 Suncream to protect your skin from dehydration and preventing sun damage. Next apply a bit of foundation or BB-cream, that matches your natural skin tone. If it's a low-key Friday night I might blend some hydrating facial cream with my foundation or use a BB cream. This is enough to cover up little blemishes and create a flawless base. To draw attention to my eyes, I love create a good 'Feline Flick'. A 'Feline Flick' aka the cat-eye is one of the most classic looks in beauty history. Just like red lipstick. You simply draw a single line from the outer corner of the eye to stopping just past the crease.

With this, very little additional make-up is necessary to make yourself look hot.
As Charlotte Tilbury would say,
"it gives you these amazing, hypnotic sexy eyes".
It's a quick and easy way to look a bit more polished at the start of the weekend.

Fun fact: The Feline Flick is inspired by the Japanese art of Shodo where every line is achieved through a single simple stroke. The Feline Flick eye-liner will allow you to create a classic cat-eye in one fluid movement.

How to create this elegant look and what to use
One of the best ways to master this look, is to learn from the best and that means having a (3x) look at this easy step-by-step tutorial from Charlotte Tilbury. She explains why you should try this look, how to apply this look one yourself and what you'll need to create hypnotic eyes.

Below I have summed up a few of my favourite products to create your Feline Flick including everything for a clean and polished base.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I am curious to know what your favourite go-to-look is on a low-key Friday night.
